Hello there,

If you have already taken a tour looking around my posts, you probably know I am a big fan of the brand Afrodita.

They usually come out with pretty amazing skincare products, and I often am satisfied with my pr gift; this time, I am going to review items featured in Afrodita skin specialist collection.

Afrodita collagen serum

Like most serums, and definitely like the Collagen one by Afrodita, this formulation is very liquid-y and almost completely water-like.

There really isn’t much more to say about this formulation’s consistency, besides the fact that it’s super lightweight; this makes the formulation perfect for layering, since it blends with the rest of your skincare products effortelessly.

Afrodita Hyaluron serum

They also state that it is intended for use in the morning and evening and that it helps reduce dark circles and puffiness, which is a common problem among us women.  I actually never have dark under-eye circles, my under-eye circles and the edge of the eye next to the nose are greenish-blue, but they are swollen from fatigue.

The serum is concentrated and thicker in texture and will not spill, it absorbs well into the eye area and feel free to continue applying make-up.  It is an excellent foundation for concealer.  I have been using essence me under eye concealer for the last few months and I set it either with Catrice , Essence banana powder.  All three are powdered powders and miraculously, my concealer did not move or get into my pores.

AFRODITA COSMETICS Skin Specialist Protective Serum SPF 30

A really nice light and elegant SPF. It doesn't feel at all like a sunscreen, it's like a typical lotion-cream for oily-combination skin. Usually when a day cream has an SPF they tend to be heavier, I have Olay Regenerist SPF 30 and it's a lot thicker than this. Protective Serum sinks in fast on my skin, there's not white cast when blending it in and there's no greasy feeling. It leaves some sunscreen shine, but it's not the greasy type, since it's almost dry to the touch. It's a nice one and SPF 30 was enough to protect me well, though in summer I wear 50. This also has a helpful tip in the instructions how much to apply it (2 pumps). I forgot to mention in New in that this has a moderately-strong floral scent.

Afrodita oil complex serum

With key ingredients such as evening primrose oil and squalane, this face oil for perfect skin has been dermatologically developed to help enhance our skin’s radiance and restore the appearance of the skin’s texture. What’s more, the addition of lavender oil helps delicately fragrance the facial oil to help improve quality of sleep - which I have to say, I appreciate so much more now that I am a mum! A good night’s sleep isn’t quite so easy to attain anymore, but this lovely lavender fragrance certainly helps.
For optimum results, I apply my revolution overnight facial oil as the very last part of my evening skincare routine and I pat the product into my skin before using my fingertips to push the product upwards. This upward motion is supposed to encourage collagen production and i like to think of it as a gravity-defying method, so to speak. I never used to think too much about the way in which I apply my skincare products.
