Hello again,
A bit unexpected, so let’s try some new Essence products using nearly a full face of new products with some exciting new releases that I can’t wait to try out more. Remember: this is just a first impression as it is the first time I am putting these on my face. Let’s dig in!
Essence Fresh & Fit Foundation With Vitamin C
The Essence Fresh and Fit Foundation is a medium to high coverage dewy/glowy foundation enriched with vitamin B3, B5, E, C and cranberry water to give you a healthy glow and a radiant complexion. The foundation is packaged in a heavy, good quality plastic- glass bottle with a pump. Essence deserves full marks for this category, since they are so affordable and the quality has a high-end feel to it. The foundation dries quickly and makes your skin feels smooth and velvety. It also works well if you don't set it with a translucent powder. If you do set it, the luminosity/ glowy-ness will still peek through.
Essence Double Trouble mascara
It is very striking because of the bright pink cap. There is also a waterproof version with bright blue details. The sleeve is otherwise white and there is no doubt about the name of the mascara! On the sleeve itself you will find further information such as the ingredients and the vegan icon. The sticker on the cap shows the signature new applicator of this Double Trouble mascara: Essence has equipped it with a double-sided brush for extra definition and volume. In practice I use both sides and I don't really have a specific order for them. I use them interchangeably and usually both sides.
Essence pallete I Like To Mauve It, MAUVE It!
This Mauve palette is one of the four new 6-pan palettes that Essence will release this fall. In addition to this, there is a green, blue and warm bronzy palette.
They are all in a rectangular plastic packaging. The Mauve variant is executed in a lavender color. On the back you can see information about the palette, such as the ingredients and the vegan icon, and the color names. Those names don't come back on the inside. The palette is nice and compact and therefore convenient to take with you. Optimal use is made of the space in the palette. Essence gets bonus points for the large mirror in the lid, which is practical, especially on the road.
HELLO, GOOD STUFF! CICA FACE CREAM
Soothing and hydrating day cream, which complements your skin care routine - on its own or as an example under powder. The texture contains Asian centella extract - the plant is also known as Indian pennywort, tiger grass or gotu kola, and is popular in Korean skin care, thanks to its soothing effect.
HELLO, GOOD STUFF! SLEEPING FACE MASK LAVANDER
HELLO, GOOD STUFF! SLEEPING face mask is the perfect finishing touch for any evening care ritual: simply apply after removing makeup and cleansing the face, and let the moisturizers work overnight. The mask is alcohol and silicone-free, absorbable quickly and will not leave the skin feeling sticky, thanks to the light texture of the gel. The sleeping mask can be used alone or in combination with a night cream. This provides an additional incentive for care, because the essence mask locks the active ingredients so that they can nourish the skin even more intensively. Lavender oil provides a gentle scent without artificial perfume - for a well-deserved dream of beauty.
ESSENCE LASH PRINCESS FALSE LASH EFFECT MASCARA
The brush is in a shape of a thin cone and with regular bristles that are densely packed. I'm not a 100% sold on this brush though I get good results with it, however, the tip collects too much product, which if I don't wipe it off can deposits too much in inner corner. I prefer the curved shape of the original Princess Lash. Overall it's still a nice brush that deposits enough mascara fast and if I avoid applying with the tip, combs the lashes ok too.
This an amazing volumising mascara and you don't have to layer it indefinitely to get big, noticeable lashes.
